Pretty much indestructible

While most of you all were asleep, many of us from different clubs had to wake up and drag our feet to school, for some Space Exhibition thing called MISA. Malaysian Inter ..Space Association. Ahh who gives a shit. Like ALL Malaysian exhibitions or interactive functions, the stuff never works!. NEVER. At least 1 guy had the decency to place a sign saying that this machine didn't work, but the others were just left alone.

And supposedly this 4D Theatre was the whole attraction of it. Now if you ask, whats so different about 4D from 3D. Well, you'll probably come to a dead end, cause there isnt much difference. The only thing is that you get sprayed by water/liquid, and you get rocked about in moving chairs.

Whatever, we got back to school in the afternoon, all pretty bummed about having to wake up at 7 in the morning for a space exhibition that..well, didn't appeal much. It looked to be a pretty boring day, as I had to go home and do nothing except vegitate, till KengYee started talking about her phone.

Now remember all those old old Nokia phones?. The Nokia 3310 and all? They were assumed indestructible because of its simplicity and lack of state-of-the-art functions unlike in the phones you find being sold on the market nowdays. KengYee started blabbering about how GODLIKE her phone is, so being the natural bored-to-death teenage adolescent, I needed something to entertain myself.

So I asked KengYee, "May I kick your phone?". She had no problem with it. Basically, we kicked it twice, as the first kick was pretty lame.

Conclusion?

Old Nokias = GODLIKE!

Just dont try it with your new Samsung, Motorola, LG or even Sony Ericsson. Cause, it'd probably explode into smithereens or just not work for eternity.

And the best part, WE CAUGHT IT ON VIDEO!

February 14th

One does not need to know what February 14th is. It is of course, Valentines Day. The time where couples would splurge their savings on roses, chocolates and a classy dinner.

The celebration of Valentines Day has many linkups and confusions on who were the people or..in some cases..the single person that started this worldwide phenomenon. Some say it originated from the ancient Roman feast of Lupercalia in which there was a number of fertility customs associated with the feast. One of them is where men and women would cast their names into a box and they would pick accordingly. From the name they get, they are to coupled up for the duration of the custom. But the celebration of Saint Lupercus Day isnt celebrated on February 14th.

The real stories behind Valentines day go way back to the 3rd century where Roman emperor Claudius II banned marriages to prevent draft dodgers. But this Christian priest named Valentinus of Rome ignored it and continued to marry people in secret. But he was caught and was sentenced to death on February the 14th.

Lastly, there was also another account of a similar story where a priest named Valentinus who was jailed and later executed for helping Christians. He fell for his jailer's daughter and sent her plaintiff love notes signed "from your Valentine".

Moving stuff really. And soon after that, during the 5th century, February 14th was declared a holy day, in tribute to Valentinus.

Till today, the day of Valentinus is still widely celebrated by couples who are very much in love and dont mind spending that extra buck for his/her loved one. This may be abit late, but its still something. So guys and girls,

Weekend Activities

The weekend which has just past has been an awesome one. But this post will be about 5W's class dinner at the classy and pricey Jogoya restaurant at Starhill Gallery.

The idea started off thanks to our monitor Dik Jun and soon, everyone was anxious about the night to come. But before the dinner, half of us decided to go and watch a movie.

Oh the gore.

Soon, after it all, we moved on till we found out it was raining..heavily. Couldn't cross over so we decided to get umbrellas. PINK umbrellas. Thank God I wasn't the one ferrying people back and forth.

After crossing over, we slowly made our way up to Jogoya for the feast that awaited us. Soon, we all got up and went to fetch our respective meals. Jogoya really is huge. Okay not huge but the variety of food was enourmous. And the best part of it, it was EAT ALL YOU CAN. Though it did cost a 100 ringgit but still, memories eh?

The dinner ended after a few hours, and then it was time to capture the night in the form of pictures. Sadly though we couldn't get everyone in the picture since some left earlier. After the flashes and the smiles, F5 along with Kavi and Alanna went over to Lecka2 for the afterparty drinks.

Overall it was an awesome night, and an even better weekend after a whole month of schooling.

5W, we shall cherish this forever.

Its been a long, long time

Very very very sorry for abandoning this blog. Been drowning with a whole lot of homework and other duties to fulfill. And partly because I'm really lazy. I promised to blog about Hong Kong but I don't think I would be doing that now..because its been so long. But I will blog about my 2 trips to Singapore. One was where I normally would go down for grandpa's birthday and my next trip was to watch Dream Theater live.

Am blogging from Hong Kong right now. Sorry for the LONG LONG hiatus. Blogging isnt as fun as..Fighters Club. =P

Anyway, will blog about Hong Kong in more detail when I get home. Just a few things I'm gonna note.

1. The people. Rude idiots.

2. Even though the currency conversion are in Malaysian's favour, the prices here for everything are exorbitant.

3. OCEAN PARK >>>>> Disneyland

4. When crossing roads, make sure its clear. HK taxi drivers care more about their fare than the pedestrian.

So, I'm back.

Lets say, the last day of school was mediocre. No class party for the Form4's. Some way to end off the 1st year of high school.

However on Thursday it wasn't THAT boring. School had the sports finals. This would determine the overall school champion for every sport. My class was in the finals for football along with 4k and the other finalists from their respective forms.

First match was against Jon Yeoh's class. It was tough. Eventually Kelvin scored (naturally) and we managed to hold on from there. That was our ticket to the semis. Our next opponent was..Ac Milan. I kid you not. The Form2's were decked out in Ac Milan jerseys..complete with numbers. They weren't posers either. The players in the team comprised of Chris, Gabriel, Colin and Yuan Sing. Chris..is one helluva defender. Playing footie with him everyday after school..I see magic sometimes.

Moving on, we start off the match. Shaky start much. But we got on our feet pretty soon. Kel kept yelling for the ball..but seeing as the way he was marked like..3 opponents marking him, it was impossible to get the ball to him. Time after time we tried to break down their defence but like I said, Chris was there everytime. KenJi had a clear cut chance from the left but he put his shot wide.

Soon, the floodgates opened. We were defending perfectly the past few minutes till that 1 kick in ..when Lam fell asleep and let Gabriel slot it in. That was when we knew, it was over. Soon , the whistle blew. And Ac Milan triumphed.

They went on to meet 4K in the finals. Ac Milan got first blood thanks to a tap in from a glorious cross from the left. But soon 4K equalized and it went down to penalties. You could cut the tension with a knife. Soon, 4K emerged victorious thanks to a missed penalty by Chris. But no doubt, the kids put up a helluva display.

Props to them!

Now, my worship band Passion Youth, recently had a photo shoot in conjunction with the song writing competition we entered along with the One Rock performance at Mines.

We first had a image consultance workshop where we learned how to improve our band image, stage prescence and many more things. Soon we went into makeup for the photo shoot and everyone came out looking shiny. Or glamorous if you insist. A bunch of shots were taken and we were done pretty quick. This was 3 weeks ago and today, the photos finally arrived. Sadly only 1 was edited. Which I guess is our best shot. Nevertheless, here they are!.

There are more actually..but Jason only sent me this much. Enjoy

On Saturday, a big number of us went over to Khye Yuh's 16th Birthday Bash. Held in KLGCC, it was quite..el grande. I guess. But first of all, the staff of Klgcc spelt Khye Yuh's name wrong. As we all entered the vicinity, signs were put up to guide us to the right place. And it read

"Khye Yun?. Eh you said this is a guy's party, not a girls".

Don't bother asking me who's mother said that. Cause I really cant remember. Khye Yuh decided to go with a theme (as all parties have nowadays) and he chose Strictly Formal. Which meant either suits, or shirts and slacks. Many of us were outraged at first including me. So outraged that I picked a fight with him threatening to change it..but obviously that didnt work. Don't worry. I meant Fighters Club. The Facebook addiction.

Anyway onto the party. I reached the club at exactly 7 and moved on up to the room. It was empty at first, till I checked the toilet when Ky, Bhatt, Qi Xian and Elton were there. Qi Xian was the bouncer and he looked so.."proper" in his suit. I would write cute..but nevermind. Soon the guests started to arrive and we all sat down to eat. Soon, it was time for a performance by Foong and his friend, Sarah!. My God she can SING!. Plus she said she had a cold but, no matter. Solid performance by her and Foong, the guitarist.

After that, it was time to dance!. Dance, dance and well..dance some more. Thats..what we practically did the whole night.

Fast forward!.

It was time to cut the cake. We sang Khye Yuh his well deserved birthday song, cut the cake and started to take photos. It was a kick ass party and well, I didn't stay for the after party. Haha but anyway, thank you Khye Yuh for planning that party.
